When a friend suggested that Tay Krew and Lake God collaborate on a song a few years ago, it seemed like a no-brainer. Having found success in the acting and dance worlds respectively, the two Salt Lake City natives where well on their way to parlaying their following into the kind of success as artists that would position them as the first to put Utah on the map in the Hip-Hop world.

Vazco took his music video budget and to be put simply, had a hell of a lot of fun with it. Rather than making a video that was too contrived, the artists chose to shoot it simply and quickly, using the money they had been given for a much needed holiday. To pull off the video they enlisted the help of director / cinematographer, Sam Lancaster who, with his background in independent feature films, provided the perfect balance of professional camera work with a predominantly hand held, run and gun style of shooting. The whole video was shot in a day and tells a very simple story of how the guys left their island paradise to live the high life, even if it was only for day. They truly did just have as much fun as possible.
Vazco is a multitalented producer that works across multiple genres. He has recently been signed to a record deal with GoldFYR Records, based in the Cayman Islands. GoldFYR’s mentality is to create a space for creatives of all backgrounds and foster creative relationships globally. ‘New Money’ is Vazco’s first single, with his sophomore record set to release in the coming weeks.
