“SWITCH SIDES” is some of the best of what Young Aardvark and Young Rich John can offer. A quiet and simple beat, provided by Young Rich John, really enhances the brilliant vocal work on the song. These two capitalize on the psychedelic hip hop sound dominating the main stream because of Travis Scott. With a powerful chorus and first verse, by Young Rich John, however, where the song takes a turn is where these two really shine, to end his verse, Young Rich John starts to whisper showing off his unique flow and charisma on the mic, and with a hard hitting bass this very easily transitions into Young Aardvark’s verse where he shows off a bit of his trademark cockiness while John shows a more personal side. “SWITCH SIDES” is a perfect example of how 2 kids from South Florida, with seemingly nothing in common, fit so perfectly together and hopefully continue to be blessing us with music for a long time.

Bouncing from low toned raps, smooth R&B then into jolting auto tuned yells. Songs like Higher and Chance demonstrate his fast pace rap/sing blend, that he describes as being the color of bright blue. To the low toned, atmospherically dark Dreamscape where alludes to drug addiction and an impending implosion.
“Dreamscape Pt. 1” is a trippy, slow burning ear worm. The video depicts a volatile Bonnie and Clyde style love story as my partner and I travel around our town causing havoc and destroying everything in our way until the violence eventually threatens to swallows us whole.
