Revert, originally born Brandon Phillips, is an up and coming hip hop artist reigning from Tacoma, Washington. His music consists of witty punchlines and in depth metaphors to give the audience a refresher from what they hear in the mainstream music scene today.
JxSTILL is a singer/song-writer/drummer from Long Beach, California. He was raised in church and grew a deep interest in music at a young age, gravitating to the drums every chance he got. As he got older, he started utilizing his notebook, filling them with poems. His older brother Fred, close friend Keenu, and best friend DeVante showed him different music programs and JxSTILL ran with it.
He dropped his first project in 2013 called “Internal Bleeding”. He went MIA as he finished school and then dropped his 2nd project at the end of 2017 called “2nd Street,” a well known street in Long Beach. He’s currently working on his 3rd project and dropped a single called “Invisible”. You can really hear the maturity and growth in his music through the years. Emerging artist and self-taught instrumentalist/producer Hirow just released his project titled “Karban Twelve”. With a variety of sounds, genres and instruments implemented in a unique way on each song, the project offers plenty of hard-hitting instrumentals with a heartfelt yet dark and mysterious mood to it delivered differently on each track.
Hiro states: “I don’t think I’ve ever felt the kind of ease that I did growing up with anything other than with music. There’s a certain feeling of comfort that you get knowing that someone out there deals with the same type of feels and emotions that you do. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to create that feeling for somebody else.” Peru’s very own will continue to work on new music as he prepares to release a second project before the end of the year.
Ronnie Rage is a DIY artist/producer from Maywood, IL. He started writing songs as early as 4th grade and started learning the trumpet shortly after; however, he did not start releasing songs until his junior year of high school. Since then, he has founded a company named Dropout Media, LLC that he distributes his music through and hosts concerts/events, he hopes to develop this into a label one day. Ronnie’s sound is inspired by various artists from stars like Kanye West, Kid Cudi and Lil Wayne to bands like System of A Down or Panic At The Disco, he believes that music should know no boundaries.
Left Alone is a compilation EP that demonstrates the emotions Ronnie experienced after dropping out of college and moving back home. He shows aggression right out of the gate with opening lyric “B*tch shut up and gag!” on the self-produced intro “You Started It.” Similar aggression can be found on “Shitake” or “03 Stratus” but he also shows a softer side on tracks like “IDK”, “Need You” or “Falling”. And with a nice middle ground in “Stay Down” or “Aye Girl”, Ronnie really pieces the whole thing together to provide a universal connection.
