Adding a little salt in the holiday mix may be the perfect ingredient to shake up the monotony in the music industry. And but who could do this better than everybody’s favorite renaissance guy, Salt the artist formerly known Silas the Stylist? Nobody. Although Silas the Stylist may be known for being a go-to celebrity stylist and socialite don’t be fooled because the St. Louis bred-all around creative is a man of many gifts including music and songwriting. When he’s not busy being a style connioesseur, Salt is a student and lover of music.
He attended Nelly’s E.I Institute College and learned how to both engineer and perfect his songwriting skills. Many people would have never guessed that Salt was a talented performer, vocalist and rapper. For so long he has been the man behind the scenes making everyone look perfect but after being encouraged by Star Branding Specialist, Abesi Manyando of Abesi PR, Salt decided to step away from behind the scenes and stand in front. Clearly this is where he belongs and this is how Salt came to life. “I’m like a diamond in a bag of rocks waiting to be discovered” says the comedic artist. “The struggles of growing up in St. Louis and being an individual who is different in a conservative Midwest city is not easy but I believe in me and I truly sympathize with those who don’t and didn’t cause I’m coming for the crown.” Just in time for the holidays, Salt shares his flavor with us on Atlanta Star producer, Nicholas Minter track, “Cornflake.” Enjoy.

Track: Faimkills – F.I.U.M.S.N. (F*** It Up Make Some Noise)
Since releasing his debut album Thrashed Out, along with a few b-sides in late 2014, Inland Empire artist Faimkills has been quietly creating a wealth of new music to be released throughout 2016.
After receiving a great deal of support from fans during a successful festival campaign, Faimkills wanted to end 2015 by showing thanks to all of his supporters with a new song titled “F.I.U.M.S.N. (F*** It Up Make Some Noise), produced by DopeKidDanny.
According to Faimkills, “F.I.U.M.S.N.” is an underdog’s anthem—“a motivational banger for the dreamers, the 40-hour-a-weekers, and the all-nighter college kids that are putting in work and refuse to be silent.”

In high school, Katt joined an R&B group and it was not long before the group’s manager recognized her talents and urged her to pursue a professional singing career. The group eventually broke up, but she continued to perform in local talent shows and write poems that would eventually turn into songs. It was during those years that she realized singing was her passion and decided to pursue music full-time.
In 2010, Katt signed a publishing deal with BMG Music Publishing and began to focus her attention on writing for other artists. She has since collaborated with several elite and award-winning music producers including Rodney Jerkins (Michael Jackson, Toni Braxton, Jennifer Lopez), Younglord (P Diddy, Notorious BIG, Beyoncé) and BudaDaFuture & GrandzMuzik (50 Cent, Estelle, The Lox). She has co-written for a variety of national and international artists such as Marlon Roudette (Germany), Lauriana Mae, Joey Yung (China) and her songwriting accolades include a number 1 Top 100 single. Katt also penned two records on a new wave/dance project produced by Germany’s DJ Westbam and was a featured vocalist among the likes of Iggy Pop and Kanye West.
After teaming up with production heavyweights BudaDaFuture and GrandzMuzik in 2012, Katt discovered that the synergy with the duo was very special, so they began to work on her solo EP, entitled, Living Free. She wrote and arranged all of the tracks on the project and the result is a superior infusion of hip hop, old school soul and pop.
Katt’s riveting live stage show is filled with energetic highs and vulnerable lows. Her performances bring her songs to life and take the audience on a magical journey all her own. The experience is one that should not be missed and will linger in your mind long after the show is over.
