Lil Sedan Ft Kish – Emotions @Avexity

Kish makes a featured appearance on Lil Sedan’s latest tune, “Emotions”.

Paul Ervin aka Lil Sedan an 18 year old kid born and raised in Kansas City who went to a private school and always had a talent surrounded in music started to have school related problems starting in the third grade. Every year it progressed into lack of structure and not getting anywhere besides being the class clown.

In 7th grade Paul was asked to leave the school considering the fact his parents were paying money for him to go there and no progress was being made. Paul went to public school his 8th grade year reluctantly but soon adapted as well as he always can because he is such a nice likable kid and he was the “crazy new kid who was hilarious, bringing a taser to the high school football games getting suspended, free styling and dancing in front of everyone at parties.

Going into high school with his new friends he fit in very well and was very likeable and tried to follow the crowd of his friends playing football and seemed like a normal kid until the same problems progressed around sophomore year and Paul would start to miss school every day leading to truancy, not being able to play at the football games because of grade and dropping out moving to online school his junior year. Paul never lost his friend group but was always a mysterious kid to people that nobody fully understood was happening because he could carry himself in such an intellectual way in person.

Paul started making music the days he would not be at school, expressing himself and his true self with his depression, anxiety and his true feelings of the world. Not to mention he believes he hasn’t been the same person since he smiled pcp laced marijuana sophomore year sending him to ER and having ongoing daily panic attacks caused by the drug not leaving his house which encouraged his music making process that had started in 8th grade. He had a huge community of people supporting him especially with the comical name of “Lil Sedan” as he first put out songs that weren’t his true personality but still sounded good his freshman and sophomore year (2016).

Summer of 2018 he put out his song Gelato which blew up in his area having everyone play the song know the name “Lil sedan” and is now making music consistently working on his sound with an emotional rock/rap influence with a touch of pop as he send his music to labels and has some good features on the way. Not to mention before all of this Paul was famous online in the gaming call of duty community which he never thought was possible as a kid so he is confident he can make it and this is what he wants to do with the rest of his life as everyone tells him he’s so talented and without being cliche feels like there’s nothing else he was meant for.

Rafael Vigilantics should probably just move back to New Mexico.  His lyrics sound like someone misspelled a crossword puzzle.
Why is he injured? Most likely because someone hit him. I know I would.

If the guys from Rage Against The Machine were on a giant, 4-person tandem bicycle and Bukowski was alive, he would drunkenly plow them down in his old Buick on purpose. “BANG BANG NO PARADE” sounds like that accident.

The perspective could possibly be due to his upbringing, having been born and raised in West, Philadelphia and forced to deal with the trials and tribulations of living in a tough environment – and specifically for him a neighborhood that boasts more statistics than success stories. But for LA there’s beauty in the struggle; there’s a story worth telling about a middle child hailing from a single parent home who’s had to endure countless battles in order to survive in and navigate the world around him, And that’s the key thing for Sabree. Surviving. That’s what Hip-Hop provides him; its a means to keeping his head above water.

His latest track “Visions” has hit Spotify and Sabree had this to say about it:

A lot of things inspired me to create “Visions”. I actually wrote and originally recorded the record in 2016 and at that time I had a lot of turmoil in my life. I started to notice a lot of people around me were fake. A few of my homies switched up on me, my closest associates turned out to be my biggest haters and detractors, women I was dealing with were trying to play me, and I even had issues with people in my family not seeing or accepting me for who I am and what I wanted to accomplish in life. It’s a debilitating feeling when you realize the people around you don’t really have your back, and the same ones you’re trying to eat with secretly want you to starve. Those epiphanies helped me create the song, and the themes and quotes from three years ago still apply to my life and the situations I’ve dealt with today.

For his latest audio outing, PHIL. serves up a project based on a pilot episode to a tv show of a day in the life with him, presenting ideas relatable to anyone and thoughts that are the tangible amenities we all look to acquire. From money, girls nice cars; PHIL. displays immense versatility on “Make It Happen Season” with tracks like “Houston Japan and “Fantasy” showing off his melodic thought provoking skills. Rap is second nature to him this 6 – 7 month long awaited project portrays the pursuit of happiness in the music culture. Honestly this is basically the soundtrack to PHIL.’s life, a motion picture written and directed by Spike Lee.

PHIL. isn’t just a artist name it’s another persona to take on for anyone, like Bruce Wayne to Batman. Hailing from the city of Bridgeport located in the state of Connecticut. A 23 year old college graduate transitioning into a world filled with misfortunes and shortcomings, his musical background stemming from his church upbringing. Mom a choir director and his uncle being a Bishop, cousins all being blessed with voices of angelic harmonies.

Music gravitated to PHIL. effortlessly, whether it was kicking freestyles with friends to singing alto in his churches children’s choir Sunday mornings. It didn’t matter he always seemed to come back to it even with this distinguished ear for music, his original plans for his future never was connected to music heading to college and obtaining a degree was more realistically suitable for the young artist.

His surroundings played a huge role in him withholding his passion subjecting him to a lot of criticism it wasn’t till a summer night in September right after he began his senior campaign at the University of Bridgeport he was shot in the lower abdomen. After surviving this incident his entire outlook on life changed. Finishing college was a must for him growing up as a first generation American parents immigrants he can’t let them down.

Traveling back and forth from CT to NY and NJ for various reasons, girls, money and music his just never felt fulfilled till about 5 months ago when he dropped his first song on all major platforms titled “IN-NY Freestyle”. He saw the shift change and pendulum finally swinging in his favor and he is gonna make the most of the moment with God in his favor anything is possible. “Make It Happen” is more than a slogan it’s a lifestyle, the need to give his family everything they deserve has now become a necessity for PHIL. #MIH

D’shay – Eyes 4 You @dshay_is_real

D’shay’s “Eyes 4 You” music video is a visual and symbolic representation of the song. It represents the phases of love, emotion and communication through him, her and the space between them.

The title of the music video acts as an embedded metaphor. The cohesion between the title of the song and the video is evident in the way the music works with the visual aspect of the video, in order to evoke the emotions portrayed by using a medley of shots including D’shay showing the difficulty and beauty of love. A divide between the couple is shown through the use of a studio set which effectively ‘shows the space in between’. The video is consistent in its storytelling elements which is ultimately wrapped up with a closing scene of the lovers together.

Born in Greenwich Southeast London, D’shay is a unique and diverse artist that creates sounds in hip-hop, R&B, electro and trap music, he has started creating a following from his first track “Swag” and most recently dropped a new track called “What you Tellin’ Me” which has already amassed over a million plays on soundcloud as well as selling out his own shows, as most recently he sold out a show in Winchester and has now followed it up with his mixtape “Thank my Enemies” which debuted at number 13 on the iTunes hip-hop charts. Most recently dropped his new single “Eyes 4 you” which debuted at number 6 on the UK iTunes Charts. With a lot more songs on the way.

Yung Cart’s “JUMP” is a hyped-up banger produced by Darkboybeatz. It is a melodic trap song with metaphors and wordplay thrown in over bass heavy 808’s that shake the car. It’s a song meant to be played at parties, the gym, on drives, or when your feeling yourself at the crib. It’s an anthem for kids who wanna smoke and party and not give a fuck.

Austin or “Yung Curt” is a 19 Year old up and coming rapper from York, Pennsylvania. Growing up Yung Curt grew a taste for Hip Hop early when he first heard Outkast’s Roses at the age of six. He started writing raps on the bus in early elementary school with his friends in a notebook. As He grew older he became a huge Nas and Meek Mill fan and idolized the way they told stories and made music people felt. His style of music varies from more lyrically dense tracks such as “coasting” to more up beat club bangers such a “JUMP”.

xavier goes deeper than a mere video and presents the short film “Lil Gardener”, as inspired by his latest EP, “1447”.

It’s a product that I’ve been working on for a year now directed and edited by Kamryn Harris of Ryn Productions (IG @rynproductions). I produced the project alongside Chelsi Cocking (IG @chelsialise; Twitter @chelsi_alise) and Ta Nycia Wooden (IG/Twitter @tippeytay) with sound design handled by my good friend and engineer, Apollo (IG/Twitter @thatmanapollo).

I want to leave most of the video up for your interpretation so I won’t speak much on our artistic intent. However, the EP speaks on growing pains, desires, family, love, and pursuing your goals as told by my feelings and thoughts. The title character was created to be a physical representation of those emotions/thoughts.

Xavier Sharif Galloway, professionally known as xavier, is an American rapper and songwriter. Living primarily on the East Coast, the 24-year-old musician has lived in New York, Orlando, and Atlanta where he began recording music in 2010. As a student at Georgia Tech, Xavier started receiving local attention after collaborating with fellow students and artists AJ Bank$y, Lord Sakima, and producer duo superHero on a string of singles released on Soundcloud from 2012 to 2016.

Together they gained local popularity by throwing concerts on campus (most notably opening their homecoming show for Hoodie Allen in 2014) and performing for A3C showcases before disbanding in 2016. 
 In the summer of 2016 xavier released a 5-track project, Joyride, on his Soundcloud which featured the Meiser produced Prayers. In May 2018, xavier released a 7-track album titled 1447 after reflecting on life since graduating college the year before. Xavier has often cited artists like Drake, Kanye West, and Frank Ocean as his biggest musical influences.

As an artist, he strives to be transparent about his life, thoughts, and feelings through music and uses each song as a means to personally connect with his listeners. 
 His solo resume since The Round Table is brief but there is so much more to expect from this passionate artist. With interests in music production, photography, and film, Xavier is currently planning out production for his first full-length LP.
