Knowledge Learned Under Birmingham. The acronym embodies the hip hop trio made up of J. Dotta, Joshua, and Kel Ricks. The three close friends initially turned heads with their Wally Sparks hosted project Canvas. Properly defining and pushing southern rap forward with a concocted blend of sharp lyricism and hypnotic production, the mixtape stood as a testament to the sounds and philosophies of the Birmingham natives. Now the three MCs are back in true form, enhancing the voyage with their debut album, When Gawd Ready, as well as a batch of visuals, an illustrative art gallery, and enough bars to have you studying and rewinding each and every track. Grab some headphones or some oversized speakers and stick around for the world of K.L.U.B. Monsta.
Nashon’s “Rainbow Gold” is the first song he made that was universally accepted. To Nashon, it was simply a benchmark of his growing ability and he is proud of what it has led to.

Named after royalty and the country in Africa, the artist born Zaire Farmer is also an aspiring orchestra conductor who was inspired by Kanye West, Three Days Grace, Frank Sinatra, XXXTENTACION and Otis Redding. Weaving together introspection with entropy, he plans on plunging elegantly into the music world release after release.

Immediately after being denied his purchase, he is served child support papers. He walks home to see that he has been evicted. What will happen next? Watch the official video to find out.

“4 Seasons” is a single produced by Malaysian producer Khayyat, as off Prometheus The Titan’s debut EP, “OLYMPUS”. The vocals are all self-mixed. This song was one of his fastest written to date and one of his personal favorites. The inspiration comes from women in Titan’s life who treat his bedroom and presence as a lavish escape from the craziness in their lives, despite knowing Prometheus has got madness in his own world too. All these problems they have could disappear with a check.
Prometheus The Titan is a 23 year old Zimbabwean Trap/Trapsoul artist based on Vancouver Island, Canada.
At 4 years old, his family was assigned to diplomatic posting in Belgium, where he spent his childhood years and learnt English while living in Brussels. Eventually his family returned to Zimbabwe for some years after that posting. Prometheus’ early interaction with Hip Hop came at middle/high school lunch in and after school as the older kids would freestyle battle and he’d join in, often winning and earning a bit of a rep for it at a time where Hip Hop culture was starting to become more familiar among youth in Zimbabwe
His family then moved to Brazil for some years, forcing him to sideline Hip Hop as it wasn’t a well recognized music culture yet, before he graduated from the Brazilian-American high school he was attending and moved to Vancouver Island, Canada to attend University. During his time in University, Prometheus met other like minded individuals who freestyled for fun and recorded occasionally, joining their group “Unusual Suspects”. Eventually the group headed their own ways as the process of choosing life paths began, leading the Titan to teach himself basic audio engineering and mixing through YouTube to create a unique sound.
Music further became an outlet once he learnt to write and record full songs. In March of 2018, Prometheus organized and headlined his own first show last March, and then performed 5 more times in that year in Victoria and Vancouver. In October his single Dasani was placed in Spotify’s “Northern Bars” playlist, setting a new expectation for his quality. His 7 track debut EP OLYMPUS is the first test of this elevated standard with plenty more hours of work on the way.
Irick Images and DrizzyXXV put together the visual for “Robbin’ Me” from Beezy Makaveli featuring Ace Ratchet & Big Bos.
This video is about a play in the streets gone wrong. Big Bos is supposed to be making a regular, everyday move, but this time he runs into a familiar face. As the transaction is happening, they both begin to recognize each other and there is a flash back from when they last ran into each other. This leads to Big Bos being kidnapped and being held for ransom, which leaves everything up to Beezy Makaveli and Ace Ratchet.
Irickimages & Shot By Drizy are a photographer/videographer team from Greenville, South Carolina that have collaborated with some of the biggest names out of their area. With names like Skully, 2C Gump, 448 Blitz and more, the team from Greenville are looking to help make a change in the culture that surrounds rap in their city. Syzotic has been making amv’s since 2012 as a hobby. Started with rock songs and shifted more towards alternative rap in the past year. His latest edition comes in the form of “The Li0n $in of PRIDE”.
This video is about escanor the lion sin of pride. Once I finished I still felt in the flow for seven deadly sins so I added the bonus clip at the end to thank all the viewers for watching.
hellboy707’s “mad world” is a song about hope that the system will one day fall. It’s a song about the rat race humanity is engaged in. hellboy707 & his clique are a ray of hip hop sunshine in a dark world.
hellboy707 is an rapper, from the hard-hitting hood of Eastlakes on the southeast side of Sydney, Australia. He started rapping when he was 9 years old and is now 20 years old. He was previously known as “The Herb” AKA the voice of marijuana because he went through a drug induced psychosis in which he thought he had to become the voice of weed in order to save the world. He is easily recognizable with several tattoos including a massive “hellboy” tattoo above his right eyebrow.
Chi City is going “Overtime” on his latest, mystically produced single.
The record came about just vibing in the studio one night while watching this old kung fu movie and I had the tv muted as I was going thru beats. I remember when this beat started playing, I was looking at the screen and zoned out for a second because everything felt like it was apart of the movie. So I started thinking to myself “what would a rap song sound like in a karate movie if it was made in 2019” So I went into the booth just playing around, and the rest is history.
Growing up in the south side of Chicago’s Foster Park neighborhood, Chi City’s music illustrates how he persevered through unfortunate events in his past and used the knowledge and, an experience he gained as a child to stay motivated and continue perfecting his art.
With the 2016 release of his song “Thug Life” which mimics a style originated from the group Bone Thugs n Harmony, had SoundCloud soaring with fans in awe over the compelling record that caught the attention of 300 Ent’s Lyor Cohen.
Following the rest of that year out with shows and tour appearances, Chi City found himself in the center of the media with the controversial release of “Sorry Kanye” in which Chi City somehow got ahold of Kanye West’s unreleased “Fade” beat while working on music in LA.
Not revealing how he got ahold of the “Fade” instrumental, Chi City quickly caught headlines, which lead to a tug a war with Universal and G.O.O.D Music over track from the highly anticipated “TLOP” album and had it taken down from all platforms. Sparking a series of debates online that Chi City’s version of “Fade” outperformed his fellow hometown hero, who was even impressed himself on how well Chi City delivered on the “stolen” track.
In the center of what seems to be an awkward moment of momentum, Chi City soon found himself in sessions writing for some of today’s most relevant artist.
With new music and tours on the way, Chi City is setting the tone for what’s yet to come for 2019. He keeps his sound deeply tied to his Midwest roots and his message is one that knows no boundaries.
