Da YoungFellaz Release Video For Still Representin'

This record is a banger for real. Da YoungFellaz really knocked the cover off the ball with this video for Still Representin’, this is a most watch and I am sure you are going love this video!

Bio

The New York City based duo of Sho-Biz and Jay Storm, collectively known as Da YoungFellaz have used their independent grind and resiliency to catapult them to varying levels of success, all with little to no help outside of their immediate circle. It is not everyday that a Hip-Hop act can nab a Spellemann Award alongside producer Ralph Myerz, often credited as being the Grammy’s of Norway. All of this while being extensively covered on many of media’s biggest platforms. Since formally beginning their journey in 2008, the duo have released 4 mixtapes and 3 EPs, all with original music. The consistency of Da YoungFellaz is unmatched in today’s cookie cutter era of Hip-Hop.

The Inception of Da YoungFellaz began in High School, where Sho-Biz of Crown Heights, Brooklyn and Jay Storm of Soundview section of The Bronx began trading bars in their school cafeteria. These instances eventually grew from cyphers to forming their own duo at the behest of a mutual friend who was later killed as a result of gun violence. Equipped with their determined mindset, while also mourning the loss of their friend, the duo began putting together a series of musical projects that would separate them from the pack of limelight hungry MCs in the underground circuit and garner them the attention of the industry power players.

Though the pair hail from some of the most dangerous neighborhoods in New York City, having first hand accounts of the ills that plague urban communities such as drugs, gang violence and more, Sho-Biz and Jay Storm opt out of glorifying such things, as many of their peers have. Instead, the pair use their lyrical dexterity and talent for crafting out songs to bring forth messages of positivity, progression, and enlightenment. In an industry filled with the glorification of all things wrong with the urban neighborhoods, Da YoungFellaz have been able to stand out amongst the riff raff.

In their time, Da YoungFellaz have collaborated with Hip-Hop luminaries such as Talib Kweli, Snoop Dogg, Nipsey Hussle and several others. Outside of the musical realm, they have applied their business since into their independent label, New Rich Entertainment, successfully circulating their projects via innovative marketing tactics and ingenuity. Drawing fans from across the globe, their mixtapes, “Sophisticated But Arrogant” & “Sophisticated Ignorance” have both accumulated over 100,000 streams respectively. Their business sense was further cemented when Da YoungFellaz acquired sponsorships from brands such as Heavy Water Vodka, Filter017, Jimmy Taverniti and Moods of Norway

Armed with natural music talents, self sufficient business acumen, a growing number of fans and the attention of corporate america, as well as the music industries elite, the sky is the limit for the pair out of New York City’s underground. It is smart to bet your money on Da YoungFellaz as being the new benchmark for Hip-Hop culture

GOSSIP: BRITTISH WILLIAMS HATES ON DRAYA MICHELE ONCE AGAIN?

As Seen On GigiOnThat.com:

Former Basketball Wives LA star Brittish Williams Hates On Draya Michele
on Twitter last night with a series of funny memes after Draya made a
comment about wanting to go out for sushi.

Brittish-Williams

RUMOR has it, Brittish Williams is working on a new reality series since
she is NO LONGER part of the upcoming season of BBWLA. But what is weird
to us is that Draya claimed that she was done with Basketball Wives LA
and was NOT returning, but she’s part of the new season that kicks off
in July.

Anyways, earlier this morning Brittish there was a series of tweets
FIRING SHOTS at Draya Michele, attacking her persona and her past. But
if you go to Brittish Williams twitter page you’ll notice that the
tweets have been removed.

We tried to reach out to Brittish PR to hear what she had to say, but
still no word. However, we did notice some tweets since the early
morning lashing. Apparently Brittish is denying the verbal attack.

Check out what she said….SHADE for real!!:

Then Brittish writes the following, trying to prove her twitter was
hacked:

Here are some some of the tweets that an inside source leaked to us
about Brittish going in on Draya, saying:

“I can describe that b**** in one word #Thirsty”

Another tweet a photo of Draya alongside Alice the Goon which reads:

“Somebody tell this Osterich Neck Alice the goon looking biach…ain’t
nobody thinking about her, NOT ever her man!”

Brittish-Williams-Tweets

Yikes!

But the diss session didn’t stop there, the “Hacker” apparently went
below the belt with a funny photo of Draya looking between her legs that
was captioned:

Brittish-Williams

“You smell it too, huh? The Sushi went bad.”

And then she SLAMMED Draya and the new cast member of Basketball Wives
LA 4:

tweets

“Malaysia or Angel. I know one of you #Bumbitches have Vagisil.”

All I can say is DAMN DAMN DAMN ( In my Florida Evans voice)

#PearlGang Artist @Benkasso Is Focused On The Game And Ready To Takeover | @Benkasso

Rap is a game like chess is game, sometime you need to move back to move forward, sometimes the whole board is set up for you to fail but you still have to try because there still is a chance that you will win. This expression fits perfectly with up and coming rapper producer Benkasso because he has moved all across the board but after making all those moves, after all that time, he is ready to takeover and win.

I had the pleasure to interview him.

Q:What is the name of the project that you are working on and why did you choose that name?

A:It’s called Redemption Of Soul.
I came up with the name because it originally was an EP created when I thought about giving up on music because of a lack of equipment. I wanted to redeem myself personally from a spirit of quitting. Since then it’s become even more special after losing a close friend.

Q:Waka Flocka Flame has been getting a lot of endorsements recently, extending his brand all the way to cough drops! Would what products do you think that your brand would fit well with?

A:I can’t really say what merch would fit best with me other than the regular things: shirts, styrofoam cups, hats, etc – until my fanbase is bigger/solidified.

Q:What are your favorite producers and artist to work with?

A:Personally I don’t work with too many ppl outside of Pearl Gang. T23zy, Brandon E, Tray da Kid. We’re all we got (literally). My primary producer is Durty D. He’s produced more songs for me than I have myself. Great young kid with great talent. His production is extremely cohesive with my sound.

Q:If you could work with anyone dead and alive who would they be?

A: If I could work with anyone I would have to go with Kendrick Lamar

rsz_image1

Q:What about Kendrick Lamar makes you want to work with him?

A:I relate to a lot of things Kendrick talks about. Also, I think some things I do rapping & production wise could be really cohesive to his music. We’re talking about (arguably) the best out & maybe of all time one day. I think for any artist it would be harder to explain why you wouldn’t wanna work with him then why you would. His music, message, etc is pretty much self-explanatory.

Q:What is your perfect idea of a great turn up?

A:Since college I’ve lost all enthusiasm for clubbing so a great turn up now for me would be a dope kickback. Great mix of ppl, good drink & smoke, dope convos. That’s a great time in my book

Q:Are you interested in the production side or becoming a solo artist?

A:I’m already a solo artist. I started out producing and I still enjoy doing it but, rap is my main focus right now. Of course In a perfect world I wanna stick with both but we’ll see how it goes down the line.

Q:What kind of student were you and did you enjoy the college experience?

A:In general, I think I was a hard worker. I was dedicated for a long while but my heart just wasn’t in music education. I wanted to major in something like music technology or business but it wasn’t available at SU. Aside from that I did enjoy the experience. Nothing like being black & going to a black school. Had some wild & great times.
