“I have always been a huge Goodie Mob fan so when I heard Gipp was releasing a solo album I was especially excited about that and I loved the sound of the project so I was happy to jump on board. Together we created “Beautiful Lover,” which is a song about enjoying the sexy life on a global scale as partners in crime,” says Eric Benet.

Sonically speaking, Big Gipp takes a bit of a different direction with some of the songs on his upcoming album and you can certainly hear the diversion from his traditional sound in “Beautiful Lover,” which was produced by Dr. Freak (Juelz Santana, Goodie Mob). Though it’s not what you would typically expect from the lyricist, the result is quite contagious!

“Beautiful Lover” is pushed by some refreshing and rather smooth melodies, while paired with some nice drum work. The fellas make a nice home for their talents and create something highly infectious in the process. This surely isn’t the one to sleep on!” – Stupid Dope

During the last several years, Gipp recorded albums as a member of the Goodie Mob, saw his friends enjoy massive success and the success of these various endeavors led the Atlanta rapper to rekindle his love for music. “I had fallen out of love with rap,” Gipp explains. The biggest thing I wanted to do was just love, to say that I’m back in love with that woman named music.” The manifestation of Gipp’s love is “Zagga.”
