Born in the city known as Houston, Texas, UrCelph has always been and continues to be in survival mode to maneuver through the dangerous streets of 3rd Ward. Despite the poor living conditions, crime life, gang wars, and police violence, UrCelph has always maintained a vision to rise above and to not become another victim of circumstance. The “Do4Celph” mindset was conceived out his unwillingness to wait for an opportunity, instead choosing to create the opportunity for himself and others who aspire more.
Inspired by Biggie Smalls “Ready To Die” album, UrCelph began releasing music in 2009 under a different moniker. Artist such as Jay-Z, 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G., Scarface, Kendrick Lamar, Ice Cube, Lil Wayne, Kool G Rap, Big Moe, and numerous others have been consistently studied by UrCelph to hone and master his craft. He’s always looking to improve his skill set and provide listeners with the highest quality of music he can produce. UrCelph is always challenging himself to evolve and adapt without compromising his overall message of progression, the manifestation of dreams, and conquering the enemy within us all.
UrCelph isn’t a perfect man. He can come off as aggressive, rebellious, brash, and has a tendency to say things that can rub people the wrong way. We tend to forget that’s exactly why hip-hop was formed as a realm of expression; it has given a platform to people from all walks of life to express their frustrations with society. In a world ran by greed, hate, and materialism, UrCelph is looking to shift the paradigm while elevating the minds of the youth. He believes he was sent to this planet to break walls, open doors for the outcast, and give power back to the creators. Whether he becomes a platinum-selling artist or remains in the underground, he will always move with definitive purpose.
