DUPPY IX – Dirty Sprite

0

“Dirty Sprite” is a new single released from DUPPY IX that features elements of rock/ hip-hop and R&B. Wild energy and a different flow makes this track a club banger that has listeners putting it on repeat.

Being born in Toronto and moving to Brampton just a few short years after, DUPPY IX is one of the several voices coming out of Canada and exposing our ears to a different flow of music. DUPPY IX embodies the kind of person who seeks growth within his music not solely as an artist, but also as an individual. Although he has only been fully committed to making music for the
last two years, he has had his hand in writing and recording music since the age of fourteen, seeing him experiment with a variety of sounds and ways to make music.

Kei walks the streets of Detroit, carrying a crazy flow and lyrical content with her. She’s a 90’s baby, packed with multiple flavors and style that stands out. She started taking music serious early 2017, now you can put her in any room and I’m sure she has a track that will rock that crowd.

BEATRAT – love world @_beatrat

0

The self-produced “love world” from BEATRAT pays homage to Norah Jones and is a jazzy boom bap styled single. This song says a lot but mostly it’s about chilling all day and just being lazy even though there are a million things one should be worrying about.

Based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, BEATRAT has always had a creative ear for music. He started playing guitar at 10, the same age he started learning video editing. At 13 he started making beats on Garageband, via his dads work computer. Some of BEATRATs earliest inspiration came from Tyler the Creator, Cypress Hill, Gorillaz, Kid Cudi. During his junior year of high school, B.R. joined a punk/funk band as the vocalist. They recorded a few EP’s, toured for a year, and then broke up due to other members college situations.

BEATRAT went to college for 2 semesters, only to realize it was not for him. He dropped out. Without a band, or college, he started focusing on making rap music every day. He started rapping on the beats he had been making and putting out more music on the regular. BEATRAT is in the process of recording his first full length LP, and it will be released April 2019. There will be multiple music videos in the next months as well.

Nuckles – HARASS ME

0

Nuckles “HARASS ME” is the banger that took Moscow by storm. The song describes one of Nuckles’ enemies, who snitches to the police which caused the rapper to have relations with the enemy’s girlfriend.

https://youtu.be/RJL9x_FD-Mk

Nuckles, born in 1997 in Dubai, who has amassed many Youtube views and plays, slowly on the rise after his first song blew up and got noticed on Soundcloud. After being stabbed in a violent altercation relating to his past and illegal work, which he has been working in for 10 years since a child, Nuckles finally spilt all his emotions and feelings on a track dedicated to the person who stabbed him, leaving a huge scar on his stomach which he bears proudly.

“Nuckles – FOMF” quickly gained traction due to the unique sound (Singing and rapping at the same time) and due to the video brazenly showing off the injury the day it happened. Hip-Hop and Rap fans rapidly caught onto it. He gained a big fan-base on Instagram, steadily releasing new tracks, which Music reaction channels on YouTube have noticed and started to react to (Eg. SnorDatDude). The instant attraction was most likely due to the depiction of real videos and crimes which relate to the Hip-Hop Scene and Industry, leaving viewers in awe.

Nuckles has been making music on Reverbnation and Datpiff since he was 13 years old (under the name Nasshole), but never really took off due to the fact that he had no experience and a generic style of rapping. He also had no money for a studio and used a usb mic and a cheap laptop at the time. Nuckles claims to have had his whole life turned around when he sustained the close-to-fatal injury which almost left him dead, and was instantly fired up, recording his first track “FOMF” only 2 days after being stabbed. His current published works include “HARASS ME”, “DRACO”, “5103”.

He stated that he currently lives in between Moscow, Russia and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Eyeless Silas – The World Is Falling @Eyeless_Silas

0

Eyeless Silas is a multi-instrumentalist, artist and producer mainly gaining his buzz from his unique beat production and soundscapes. Hailing from Boston, MA, At age 22, Silas has independently distributed his music through his own label “VisionVilleMusic”, selling out venues at ‘Hard Rock Cafe’ twice in 2017, releasing his debut EP in 2018 along with two fully self-produced and engineered short length Albums entitled “Moment Of Silas” (2016) and “Microwave Society” (2018) which is available now on all platforms. Here’s one of the album’s singles, “The World Is Falling”.

“The World Is Falling” is a song that describes the everyday struggle of doubting yourself, losing yourself, then finding yourself again through a higher calling. Everyone needs a hero, whether that be a super hero with a cape, a fireman, a lover, or even God. Even though the world is in horrible condition there is still hope. You don’t find happiness you create it and that’s what this song is about, being surrounded by all this negative energy but still finding peace and positivist through all of the pain.

At the young age of 9, Eyeless picked up his first instrument, the electric guitar. He soon fell in love with music and starting writing his own songs but didn’t quite know what he was capable of until he starting getting involved with producing and recording his own records. It wasn’t until 2013 when Eyeless starting putting out his songs on SoundCloud and YouTube. Growing up in a small, musically unorganized city such as Boston, he didn’t gain much attention anywhere else across the states but the local audience knew who was the best producer in town if you ask any engineers from the midtown area.

In 2014, Eyeless came home from school one day and found an eviction notice on his door leading to his first debut single “Home” which was the first addition to his 2016 “Moment Of Silas” mixtape. After that he became a different person let alone a different artist. Forced to find new ways to occupy himself, Eyeless studied sound design at the Berkley College of Music after working full time shifts as a janitor. He became so enthusiastic and passionate about vibrations and the science of sound.

Eyeless started posting videos of himself making beats in his car on social medias like Instagram and Facebook. Artists Dayou, BaeGod, Nate Curry, and channels like BedroomTrap reached out to Eyeless complimenting his beat skills. Growing a strong relationship with these popular underground artists, he was able to conduct the biggest collaboration of the SoundCloud era (“Better Now”) which released on all platforms giving Eyeless Silas the mainstream buzz that he deserved. After his studies he would find side hustles and creative ways to finish his mixtape (Moment Of Silas) and publish his videos without being in his studio.

He slept and WORKED in his car for a living by charging local artists for a service he called “Mobile Mic” where he would drive to artist’s house, record, produce, and engineer for them in his ’02 Jetta.

Honestly, it sounds crazy I know. But sonically a small car like mine was kind of perfect, acoustically speaking. It just worked out so conveniently…I would wake up in the morning and find a Starbucks where I could charge my laptop. Within 20 minutes I would have phone calls of artists trying to book sessions with me. I don’t really know who started hyping my name as the ‘best’ in town but, truthfully no one was doing what I was doing at the time. It was innovative, it was new” Eyeless states. Juggling both his side hustle as a mobile producer and finalizing his mixtape Eyeless used every bit of his income for his investment in selling his own clothing wear later released in 2016 including the popular collection “Visions”.

The design contained the outlined shape of an eye with the pupil being the head of an alien. Eyeless says “It was the perfect interpretation of who I am and what I stand for. I believe what we see in our mind is more powerful and real than anything we pollute our perception of life with in this third dimension we call a reality.

With the support of local artists, friends, and fans Eyeless was able to push out over 100 sales in his custom hoodies and t-shirt designs. But the fact of the matter is that it wasn’t enough to make him instantly famous, but it was enough for a big move.

At this point in his life, Eyeless was over-cumbering himself with stress and soon became severely depressed and unmotivated with his music. He wasn’t able to work as comfortably and freely as he did before which made him very unconfident as an artist. He stopped doing shows, stopped accepting collaborations with other artists and completely purged his identity as a musician. Eyeless did not release any NEW content for the 7 months he was homeless but managed to put together a 6 track R&B EP consisting new versions of previously released songs that were exclusively available on soundcloud for his fans to listen to on all streaming platforms all-the-while working on his next project which would later become his first self-produced debut album “Microwave Society”.

After taking a 7 month break from the spotlight Eyeless Silas comes back with a brand new jam called “The Push”. The song is currently listed as the most popular record from his September 1, 2018 (short album) release titled “Microwave Society”. Eyeless Silas is letting us know a lot has changed over the last 7 months. His flow sounds more polished, decisive and confident. Eyeless Silas has always been known for pushing the envelope as far as sound goes and this album was no different. He shows off a different side to himself that many of us who listened to him as recent as early 2017 might find his new stuff to sound like a completely different person. This multi-genre artist is certainly looking like a vessel for amazing and diverse music. Silas has a unique ability to create hit music no matter what genre he decides to cross with one another.

JrushCBT – BANANAS @JrushCBT

0

In the months of JrushCBT spent studying the industry, he quickly learned the taste of his generation. One day after a college class, Jrush was under the influence of marijuana and thought of banger song ideas. To not lose his ideas, he recorded himself saying the beat and flow to his songs. After doing that he took his thoughts to his friend who is an upcoming producer who professionally goes by GT3. Telling him his ideas, GT3 made his thoughts come to life. They made 3 beats. Next, he headed to the studio (for his first time) and made 3 songs, the second being “BANANAS”.

Justin Rush (born in Tampa, FL) is a American rapper professionally known as JrushCBT. Raised in a family of 4, Justin lived a average life and is someone who has always had a love for rap and put his time, work and dedication to get where he wanted to be. Although he had a love for rap, he knew his parents would never accept that from him. That’s one of the biggest reason he has got himself in this game.

He was a student athlete and played 4 years of high school basketball. 2 years at Wharton High School and his last 2 years at Wiregrass Ranch High School. As talented as he was at the sport, he felt as if he was forced to play it by his parents. After graduating he decided to live for himself. Rebelling against his parents Justin began to spend months studying the “rap game” and the industry itself.

Putting the place he eats, sleeps for free (his parents house) on the line, he began to skip his college classes at Pasco Hernando state college to go to studios and work on his sound. Which quickly led him to make his single, “BANANAS”.

Sol The Wise Ft Ken Rebel – Lvl Up @solthewise

0

The Ken Rebel featured “Lvl Up” is a single off of Sol The Wise’s forthcoming LP.

“We’ve all been down before because THAT dude got the nice crib or she’s with the guy with the Benz. Yeah yeah. We know. So that’s why you gotta Lvl Up and show them what’s good.”

The track’s high energy production and exceptional vocal delivery showcase some of the best creative comfort from both artists. It’s interesting to see the blend between these two artists from different ends of the US and different cultural influences come out with such smooth and well-executed delivery. Sol The Wise has definitely made his statement on this track that he should be someone listened to, so now it’s just about waiting for what he brings next.

In a city saturated with extreme talent, Los Angeles tends to give the world a creative every so often that pushes the boundaries and shifts the culture of hip hop. Artists like Tyler The Creator and Kendrick Lamar express their art in a form that brought the genre to unfamiliar territories, which in return opened the doors for aspiring artists to push it further. Sol The Wise is definitely a candidate to be an influential mark in Los Angeles’s bustling scene of talented upcoming artists.

Sol brings a refreshing breeze into the current state of hip hop music with his exceptional songwriting and one of a kind production. He has opened for Riff Raff and Quentin Miller, headlined a show in Seoul, Korea, and has collaborated with artists like Ken Rebel. Sol is currently putting finishing touches on his upcoming LP, a project that has been in development since January 2017. Sol grabs inspiration from Andre 3000, Kanye West, The Neptune’s, Travis Scott, ASAP Rocky, just to name a few. His creative capabilities are something we’ve all been waiting for a needle in the haystack.
