Co$mo – Coping @wavycosmo ‏

0

Co$mo is a passionate, unique and versatile artist from England with a raw alternative rock styling. Fresh on the scene, he has only been making music since late 2018. He produces deep and meaningful content that goes over his troubles with relationships (Coping or Obvious?). However he can also switch the style up with more upbeat songs to vibe to (Shawty Talk to Me). Co$mo’s identity is currently unknown as he wishes for no other than to be judged by his music. He feels there is no need to know who he is or what he is. He uses his music to vent the negative energy out and he hopes listening to the music does the same for others as well.

Check out “Coping”, his latest single, exclusively on Soundcloud.

Coping is my most realest single yet. I put all my effort into it and gave it a unique sound in order to grab people’s attention but yet still sound catchy. This goes over how I treated relationship issues. Addressing my actions, thoughts and feelings towards the fallout. Break up’s are so common yet no one know’s how people cope with it. Coping show’s how badly I coped with it. I hope the people who do relate now know they’re not alone.

Hi$ive – Askin For It @Hi5ive_Soul

Houston rapper Hi$ive teamed up with director Dante Castro to bring us visuals for “Askin For It” to bring in the new year. His beat selection from MisterMammoth was the perfect counterpart for his slick wordplay as the chorus states:

“N*ggas askin’ for the knowledge; n*gga no cost. Put the flavor in your sauce; nigga get lost. Hoes tryna jump around like Kris Kross.”

Born and raised in the neighborhood known as 5th Ward in Houston, Texas, Hi$ive grew up in a city that thrives of off not only oil and gas but hip hop as well. With over 5 years experience in the game, Hi$ive likes to stack his songs with wordplay similar to one of his influences and hometown hero, Scarface. Other musical influences he credits are Paul Wall, Biggie, Jay-Z, 2pac, Mase, Outkast, Schoolboy Q, Nipsey Hussle, Curren$y and A$AP Rocky.

Hi$ive also credits his mother as his biggest influence in his music and career. He says “Let It Ride” featuring George Young is his most memorable track because his mother threw him a birthday party for the video shoot. After her passing in early 2017, he decided to dedicate his grind and hard work to her. With his music he hopes to enable his family and friends to pursue their dreams and eventually help others in his community better their lives and have access to a better education.

Based out of North Carolina, MontytheHokage (ho-ka-ge) is a new take on a melting pot rapper from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He began his career in 2018 as someone trying to bring some light into being young and, share a positive and encouraging message. Hoping to help change our generation one song at a time. He just dropped a hyper new single called “Cheat Code” and explained the track to the press.

When making “Cheat Code”, I wanted a song that I knew would really stand apart from the rest of my catalog. I not only wanted something that was sonically pleasing, but something I could really use in the gym for myself. As I started thinking over the one year that I have been making music, that’s literally what this song became. How I had to learn every thing myself with no ones help while trying to do it at the same time, feeling like no one wanted to talk or reach out, and still how this year was amazing for me to accomplish what I have.
