J. Foster – hml @jfostermusic

0

J. Foster is an R&B Singer/Songwriter from Chicago. Since the tender age of 14 years old Foster has been singing with passion ignited in him from musical influences such as Usher, Michael Jackson, and Chris Brown. With singing as his main talent and songwriting as his hidden secret weapon, Foster exudes originality with his heart-felt pieces. Foster can be described as the boy next door with a little bit of an edge. Foster’s goal is to bring back the essence of R&B that made it so impactful in the 90s and to encourage positivity and love.

J. Foster’s “hml” single is the epitome of modern day communication with relationships. This song reminds you of the time when you waited all day just to get a text back from someone you really liked. Everyone can relate to the no text back and the feeling it gave you. A song for the new ages in this text savvy world.

After releasing a song featuring RiFF RaFF at age 20, Semkari has created a well known fan base & brand based in Charleston, SC. He’s been recording his own music since sophomore year of high school and has been doing so since. With his growing popularity and growing brand, he is not a artist to be slept on.

His new single “ALONE” features WhoIsSlimm and comes from the energy of being surrounded by people in any scenario: party, event, show, or etc. and all you want is one person. You shouldn’t call or message them but you do to receive no response. Finally, they see you up and decide to give you time but it’s too late for all of that. Tune into the story below.

RocMilan – Out The Bowl @ROCMILAN_

RocMilan is a 22 year old rap artist hailing from Connecticut. His aim is to always rock out, let loose and provide the kind of music to have fun listening to. His Keylo Production shot video is a prime example of said mission statement as we find RockMilan waving “Out The Bowl” and landing in a local shopping plaza. Press play and peep Roc spilling some juice over the laid back instrumental.

Flex Luciano – The Mix @THEFlexLuciano

0

On Flex Luciano’s newest IVN produced track, “The Mix”, he stays truer to character than ever before.

In this song, he touches on the fact that making music helped him stay out of trouble as a kid, and even though some people ridiculed him for it, they are now trying to get in contact with him to network. He also touches on his battles with anxiety, depression, and his determination to be successful in the world of music. All of this topics were mentioned while still keeping an upbeat, enjoyable mood to the song. This track may be on more of a serious note, but it was executed in a manner that makes it something you can still vibe and have a good time to. Although he has released all of his previous music on his own accounts, he is now seeking to release this track through another outlet as to hopefully broaden his reach.

Flex Luciano grew up in Northern Michigan, and from a very young age took an enormous amount of interest in music. He learned how to play many instruments: guitar, bass, drums, and even some brass instruments. His taste in music was quite eclectic. Growing up with 2 brothers and parents who were also quite passionate about music, they very much so helped to shape his taste in music. He enjoyed anything from Bill Withers to Slayer and just about everything else in between.

Coming into junior high, he had a childhood friend who’s mother was quite the old school hip-hop head. This was his introduction into the hip hop world. Starting out with Run DMC, NWA, Digable Planets, Wu Tang Clan and many more, he took quite a liking to what he was hearing and set out to discover and develop his own taste in hip hop music. Around the age of 13, he began diving into the world of creating his own hip hop music. Equipped with a USB microphone and computer, he started to record.

With no accessible studio in his area and no one to teach him the ropes, he spent most of his time reading tutorials and learning through trial and error. Now, at the age of 22, he continues to make music. Everything he releases is self recorded, engineered, mixed, and mastered. He even took up producing and uses his own instrumentals on a handful of his songs. About a year ago, he really slowed up on releasing tracks. During this time, he worked at developing his sound into something he was truly happy with. As you can tell from taking a quick look at his social media, he really spends all of his time on creating as opposed to promoting. His twitter is completely un-used and he rarely posts on his Instagram which is his main form of social media.

Now, he’s back with an arsenal of unreleased music. That eclectic taste in music he has had since a child has worked really well to help shape his sound into something unique and refreshing, while still being cohesive enough to be recognized as hip hop.

Bilengwall – Fiesta @Bilengwall1

0

“Fiesta” is an all round classic party and club celebration song from international sensation, BilenGwall.

It highlights all the good memories he’s acquired from his involvement within the football/soccer industry and mega sporting events. Most importantly, the memorable and perhaps the emotionally charged goals scored by some of the players of hus all times favorites. It’s a breathtaking and heart pumping compilation of celebrations.

The main aspect of the video was also to anticipate a potential anthem for the next African Cup of Nations, due to take place in a couple of months and which will be hosted by his country of origin Cameroon. Hence why there are some familiar Cameroon football/soccer players in the video.

Overall, the theme of this track is the togetherness, the cheers, joy and happiness as well as the unity sports can create around the globe from all walks of life. There is also the after party club scenes afterwards where everyone hits the dance floor and parties all day and all night long until the music is gone.

0

AGB MikeRich faced several hardships at the beginning of the year which left nothing but negativity in his wake, but after a long drought he returns with a new visual for his latest single titled, “Reasons”.

The rapper lays down a smooth set of verses, tagged along with a catchy hard hitting hook, and matched with an infectious melodic beat. To produce a certified banger! Shining a spotlight on his unhinged world, Reasons is a vessel of enlightenment to listeners experiencing envy and treachery. Alfred. – LIKE YOU! (Yes, You!) @ALFEYALF

0

Alfred.’s video for “LIKE YOU! (Yes, You!)” is split between two different songs from their new project LIKE YOU!! The first half comes from the song “Tales of a Queer Rapscallion” with an intense introduction featuring three dead white men at what appears to be the conclusion of an intense battle. From there, it transitions to a hang-out session featuring Alfred and a cross-section of the queer friends and acquaintances they made during their time in Richmond, Virginia using fast-moving and painterly cinematography.

https://youtu.be/oCqwIWN9LfY

The second half of the video–the section for “LIKE YOU! (Yes, You)”–is, metaphorically speaking, a very personal conversation with Alfred in which they wrestle with being their own person, while also desiring, in some regards, to be like “you.” The hurdles in this dynamic are depicted in the video with Alfred walking down a tree-lined street while repeatedly being bumped in to.

The two songs, in a way, are opposite sides of the same coin. “Tales of a Queer Rapscallion” captures its protagonist at their most confident and their most able to combat the powers which threaten their self-esteem daily. Conversely, “LIKE YOU! (Yes, You)” illustrates Alfred’s insecurity in always being their own person and their knowledge that, sometimes “faking it until you make it” is a survival tactic, even if it hurts.

Alfred is a Virginia-based artist and musician. They have been making music since high school and honing their craft–in both visual art and music–in Richmond, Virginia since. Alfred centers their work around the topics of permanence, queerness, and blackness.

Regarding the role of art and creation in their life, Alfred said, “For the past few years, my work has been an anchor for myself and a vessel for communicating with my loved ones. My work helps me make sense of the in-between worlds of our own personal thoughts and feelings.”

The importance of this work is present in the content they are putting out–their music features great contrasts between triumph, found in their more hard-hitting rap tracks, and defeat, which can be heard in the somber nature of some of their hypnotic R&B-influenced jams. While these are two greatly contrasting aesthetics, Alfred’s music will regardless always make you feel something.

Their restless persistence in creating has taken them to a lot of places. In Richmond, they became a mainstay on the house-show and local venue scene with their energetic and intense live performance, performing at The National, Strange Matter, and The Camel amongst many other venues. Outside of Virginia, they toured with producer Young Pockets in support of their previous project, So Sensitive. Over time, they have performed on the same bills as a variety of incredible acts such as Crumb, Abdu Ali, Negative Gemini, George Clanton, and Combo Chimbita.

svn. – option. @svnthesinger

0

svn. is a 21 year old singer, song-writer, producer and engineer from Worcester, MA. Throughout his middle school and high school, SVN taught himself how to record, mix master and even make his own beats using FL Studio. After several years of producing beats for his friends and himself in high school, his moniker SVN was born along with his first single Experience / Habits that got a lot of attention in 2016 amassing hundreds of thousands of plays on so many more of his songs.

“option.” is his new single from his forthcoming EP being released on September 7th. It’s definitely an introduction to the dark ambient sound and vibe the EP has. The song is an upbeat track that is new to the classic svn. sound but the still has the smooth vibe and lyrics of his classic tunes.
