Ant Ohso Dank – Peso | @LookAntOhSoDank |
To properly kick of the lead single to his upcoming “Out The Hallway” album, Massachusetts riser Ant Ohso Dank once again taps filmographer AMR Final Filmz for the visual behind “Peso”
Now, as he continues to polish his debut album, “Out The Hallway”, Ant delivers it’s first official single, “Peso”. Produced by DAP Beatz, the hypnotically layered synths stab thru fast pace high hats and Ant’s rapid fire peso ad-libs. For the video, AMR Final Filmz and Ant brainstormed a few ideas pertaining to direction. With a title like “Peso”, the first thing that comes to mind is money. So other than merely showering the lens with loot, Ohso goes on step further and transforms into money itself. A green and yellow color palette infuse the foreground as we find the rapper spitting the type of lingo only true hustlers can decipher.
Taiyamo Denku – No Industry Standard | @TaiyamoDenku |
Milwaukee based word-slayer Taiyamo Denku presents the sixteen track “No Industry Standard” album, bursting out the britches with pure, unadulterated Hip Hop
“No Industry Standard” is the eighth full length solo release from the Wisco spitter, an impressive feat for any emcee. Aside from that, the list of guest features is enough to make any Hip Hop fan get gassed when reading over the tracklisting. We are treated to more new music from Denku alongside KRS One and Chino XL, artists that Taiyamo has worked with already in the past. The Midwest word-bender also lands some heavy hitters with the addition on Conway The Machine and Benny The Butcher of Griselda Records fame (signed to Eminem’s Shady Records imprint.
He also digs deep into the Cypha Den Music vault to unleash one of his biggest guest to date, Lil Kim. Co-owner and in-house producer, Dcypha, once again provides the production of the album, albeit the Psycho Les produced, “Stand Back”. The selections range from down right gutter to soulfully sampled righteousness.
Taiyamo is very outspoken, both online and in real life. He keeps the Hip Hop art form near and dear to his heart, an art he’s been highly active with over his lengthy career span. As the genre continues to dumb down and morph, the Milwaukee Monsta remains defiant of the change. His mission with “No Industry Standard” is simple, to make rappers aware that lyricism is king, not bright colored hair or gimmicks.
Hip Hop purists, this ones for you. Stream and purchase “No Industry Standard” exclusively on Bandcamp.
Francheyez – Federal Reserve Notes Vol 2 | @Franch33zeworld
Francheyez makes his triumphant return to the mixtape circuit with “Federal Reserve Notes Vol 2”, featuring the singles “Doing Bad”, “Pain Release” and “Night Fall”
From his show stealing bars via Grind Mode Cypher to his forthcoming project with Ren Thomas, there’s no question that Francheyez has been hard at work. He recently debuted “Federal Reserve Notes Vol 2”, a mixture of new and old school flavors sprinkled with a few remixes such as “Goosebumps” from Travis Scott. Having recently just performed alongside Def Squad alum Keith Murray, the Bronx representative bodies thirteen tracks with ferocity. In doing so, he showcases his powerful story telling abilities that go hand in hand with colossal metaphors.
Volume 1 of the mixtape series released in October of 2014 via Datpiff. As with the second installment, it contained thirteen tracks and showcased the East Coast artist’s songwriting skills and delivery. It also set the stage for fans to get a feeling of what to expect from the series, fly wordplay and catchy beats.
Francheyez plans to release one last volume to the FRN series, ending it as a trilogy. As of now, there is no set release date for volume three, however the Castle Hill native is set to drop a collaborative project alongside another lyrical giant, Ren Thomas, titled “Disenfrancheyezed”. He also will be dropping a group project called “Welcome to Cru York City” as well. For now though, check out the aforementioned singles on Spotify and their accompanying video on both Francheyez and Grind Mode Cyphers‘ YouTube channels.

ABOUT MONDAY’S PRESS CONFERENCE:
The pastors feel the words and intensions of the congresswoman have been mischaracterized and taken out of context because she is a black woman who is passionately imploring people with a conscience to confront Trump supporters about the administration’s anti-immigrant agenda. The harsh rhetoric from the White House and the double standard of Congresswoman Waters are seen as racist, and a weapon of words used to energize Trump supporters for the mid-term elections.
STATEMENT BY PASTOR SHANE B. SCOTT ON BEHALF OF RELIGIOUS LEADERS:
“As we prepare to celebrate the Fourth of July, our democracy is under attack and we’re on the verge of a constitutional crisis under the Trump Administration. This administration has created an atmosphere of divisiveness to satisfy the base, and not represent all people in the United States of America. Immigrant children have been separated from their families at the borders. Trump’s travel ban is rooted in anti-Muslim prejudices, which discriminates against religious freedoms and lawmakers ignore implementing reasonable gun laws to stop mass shootings in our most sacred public places. This is not who America is suppose to be. We are better than this. Congresswoman Maxine Waters is courageously raising her voice and leading the fight in the Democratic Party to maintain the moral fiber of this country. She is a true patriot, and she should be celebrated as such. She has been an exemplary public servant for all the people, and any attempts to disrespect, discredit or assassinate her character are unwelcomed and unwarranted.” – Pastor Shane B. Scott
This weekend, more than 750 cities across the nation are participating in Families Belong Together marches and rallies in response to the Trump Administration’s “zero tolerance” immigration policy, separating migrant families. Approximately 2,300 migrant children have been separated from their parents and secretly shipped to detention centers throughout the country. And making headlines this week, the Supreme Court validates Trump’s travel ban, and a deadly shooting at a Maryland newspaper left five people dead.
“For this reason, Congresswoman Waters is a vocal opponent of Trump and his discriminatory policies against people of color and anyone non-white. In her fight for what’s right, regardless of party lines, Congresswoman Waters has elected to put polite discourse aside to fight for Democracy. Anyone who believes in our democracy must do the same,” added Pastor Scott.
Sharing the podium with Pastor Scott during the press conference will be Pastor Kelvin Sauls of Holman United Methodist Church and Rev. John Cager III of Ward AME Church.
