Bio For Julius:

Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Juliu$ lived all around El Paso, as well as Chaparral, NM when he was younger, he grew up listening to a big variety of rap and hip hop music. Riding around with his father jamming out to artists like Westside Connections, Snoop Dogg, Tupac, and more which really sparked his interest into creating his own music. As he got older he went to record at Paradox Studios, it was then that he realized he would take music more seriously. Went to Phoenix AZ to study as an audio engineer for The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences where he got certifications in many aspects of the audio engineering realm, and is also designing shoes on the side, which will also be a big success in the near future. Today he is building his name, putting together a team and collaborating with Tha Ayleyes from Pensacola Florida. They collaborated together and created “I-10 Connection” a mixtape that is hosted by DJ Smallz & DJ Shurefire of Southern Smoke. They just created “I-10 Connection 2 The Takeover” Hosted by DJ Flipcyide of WuTang. Juliu$ is now working on an album.

Chicago’s star M.C. is currently shooting visuals for his highly requested radio single, “Whippin” with Open World Films. We’re waiting for the new video but in the meantime we’re still over here enjoying the song that validated Pohhla as the next in line to receive the Chicago hip hop crown. While Spike Lee was shooting Chi-raq, Pohhla was living it and had a single entitled Anti-Chiraq over a year ago. Earlier this season, Pohhla switched up his melancholy flow and teamed up with fellow Chicago native and Street Exec’s co captain, Cap 1 for their collaborative “P Diddy“. The song “P Diddy” solidified the reasons Chicago’s rooting for Pohhla. Applying the pressure until God says its over the Vaultawk lyricist is on the cusp of something great.

The energetic single is an up-tempo anthem for everyone who needs some motivation for their day. “In the song, we are basically saying whatever you do don’t be afraid to have fun and shine.” When asked what he thinks about people’s criticism of Spike Lee’s upcoming film, “Chiraq” Pohhla says: “I don’t think the criticism should necessarily be directed at Spike Lee because we don’t even know the story line yet. My issue over the past years has been in the idea that so many people have accepted the nickname given to our city and are embracing it. I’m afraid they are thinking this kind of violence is normal. Everyone is running around with a gun, everyone wants to be known as the shooter but we’re causing our own genocide in the process.”
