BREATHE by Dark Fade Ricochet is an eclectic track combining a wide sonic range from drill style trap music to conscious hip-hop. The song revolves around the theme of adversity when pursuing a dream.

BREATHE invites the listener to not let their adversity beat them down, but rather welcome the uncertainties ahead with open arms. If life becomes more challenging, it simply means you leveled up. Dark Fade Ricochet hopes to encourage others to believe in themselves and pursue their goals regardless of what stands in their way.

The song covers adversity in the artist’s own life as he navigates through his music career that includes dismissal from others, conflicts from personal life, and the pressure of time. Despite the adversity, there is nothing else Dark Fade Ricochet would rather do than express himself through his craft. The challenge is a part of what fuels him and the prospect of overcoming it is enticing. No one else can stop him from living life on his own terms.

BREATHE will be available on all streaming platforms on February 15, 2019. The music video will also be released on the same day. The music video is directed by upcoming director Eugene H. Lee, who has worked with artists including Sad Frosty, Menny, and Sean Kingston.

A rapper raised in West Covina, CA and current resident of the Bay Area, Dark Fade Ricochet features a dynamic range of styles in his music, harnessing many moods and influences.

The eclectic and adaptable rapper has shared the stage with figures in the hip-hop game like Twista, CyHi Da Prince, G Yamazawa, Locksmith, and Ghostface Killah.

Described as “The Way of the Intercepting Flow”, Dark Fade Ricochet’s approach to hip-hop is borrowed from Jeet Kune Do (Way of the Intercepting Fist), the versatile martial arts system founded by Bruce Lee.

Dark Fade Ricochet absorbs aspects of many different hip-hop styles into a sound that is essentially his own. He believes that every hip-hop style has its own strengths and weaknesses depending on the emotion and story built within the song itself.
